Hi, i'm Manu!
I’m an Illustrator based in Rotterdam, Netherlands but originally
from São Paulo, Brazil.
My drawings are love letters to the introverts, readers, romantics and observers. I like to experiment with mixed media techniques like watercolor, gouache and pencils, using vibrant colors to create cozy landscapes and characters. A lot of my drawings are memories of places I’ve been to, or elements that hold a sentimental meaning to me.

A lot of my drawings are memories of places I’ve been to, or elements that hold a sentimental meaning to me.
When I first arrived in the Netherlands three years ago, I found myself surrounded by naked trees and the loneliness of the winter months for the first time. That quickly became a source of inspiration for my illustrations in the upcoming months, as I kept drawing the scenery and atmosphere of my daily bike rides. This is how my creative process goes for most of the time, as little segments of my personal life seep into my creations, in form or concept.
